A bit about us
We met while working at the Michelin-starred Locanda Locatelli. Both of us loved ice cream, but we thought the quality of ice cream in London was poor, so we decided to do something about it.
We toured Sicily, Calabria and Basilicata, learning how to make gelato from the masters of the craft. We launched Hackney Gelato on our return.
That was four years ago. We now make proper ice cream for some of London’s best restaurants, gelaterias and shops, and we make it all the way it should be made - by hand, with love, using traditional Italian techniques.
